BIGFIX EXPANDS PACIFIC REGION MARKET PRESENCE WITH INAUGURATION OF BIGFIX AUSTRALIA PTY. LTD.

Market Demand Drives Investment

  • Getting an early start on its global expansion program for 2010, BigFix has established BigFix Australia Pty. Ltd. as its legally recognized business entity in that country. 
  • The move builds on previous success in building customer relationships in Australia and positions BigFix to fully address the Australia and New Zealand market opportunity.
  • BigFix has also signed a reseller agreement with New Zealand’s GoWorld, a managed security and systems management service provider who bases its services offerings on BigFix products and technologies.
  • Headquartered in Melbourne, the organization will report to BigFix Asia Pacific vice president David Hanley. 
  • Hanley’s charter calls for expanding direct and indirect channels to bring BigFix systems management and IT security technologies, products, and solutions throughout the region, which includes India, Southeast Asia, China, Australia and New Zealand. 

Background and Context

  • The new business entity follows up on BigFix’s track record in gaining an initial business foothold in Australia selling and servicing financial services, transportation, and government/public sector customers.
  • In addition to direct sales to customers, the BigFix Australia is actively working with BigFix global technology partners to develop multi-vendor systems integration solutions for enterprise customers in the region.
  • As a business, BigFix is expanding its international operations despite the overall, difficult global economic conditions impacting businesses generally. BigFix management believes it will experience strong international demand for the company’s products and solutions, solid business value proposition, solid after-sales service and support execution, and displacement of incumbent vendors who have failed to keep pace with demand for simpler, more effective solutions for enterprise IT systems management and security problem spaces.
