BigFix IT Service Management Solutions
Using BigFix Platform technologies, products, and content to help implement effective IT service management solutions aligned to IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices. Past projects have included:
- Asset Tracking Integration: Incorporating the BigFix Platform into commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house-developed asset tracking solutions to give customers real-time visibility into the status of their assets.
- Help Desk Integration: Connection with BigFix real-time visibility and control capabilities to improve service quality and reduce costs of end-user support or help desk functions. Past projects have integrated BigFix commercial help desk solutions such as Remedy and HEAT products as well as in-house products and processes.
BigFix Security Compliance Solutions
Leveraging BigFix to bring large IT infrastructures into compliance with internal or legally required security policies. Specific areas of expertise include:
- Network Access Control (NAC), using BigFix to automate remediation of devices caught in network access quarantines; or better yet, proactively maintaining their compliance with enterprise baselines and policies to avoid quarantining altogether.
- Enterprise Security Configuration Management Assessment: BigFix-based structured analysis of enterprise-wide “current states,” with definitions of, and descriptions of how to achieve, desired “future states.” Key steps in this analysis include question formulation, data collection, analysis/summarization, and results reporting.
