Policies executed by a BigFix Agent stay in force even when a managed device leaves an enterprise network. This is particularly important for managing mobile/laptop/notebook computers. Not only can mobile computers stay “in policy” as they roam, BigFix customers can maintain visibility and control over mobile computers by creating enterprise website DMZ areas for BigFix management communications. Any time a BigFix-managed mobile computer connects to the Internet, it automatically connects to the DMZ to report configuration changes and/or receive new policies and content (software, patches, anti-virus updates etc.) from the BigFix Console.
