CERTIFICATION
The BigFix Customer Certification program defines a standard for BigFix user knowledge and creates a credential that helps potential employers and IT services clients recognize BigFix expertise possessed by their staffs and consultants. The path to Certification consists of two phases: BigFix Knowledge Acquisition and a BigFix Proficiency Exam.
Benefits
- Achieve official recognition for knowledge and competence in all things BigFix
- Fill in knowledge gaps through the Knowledge acquisition process
- Growing pool of credentialed BigFix Certified Professionals ready to deliver high-level BigFix expertise as employees or consultants
Knowledge Acquisition
BigFix knowledge can be attained through self-study, hands-on use of BigFix, or participation in BigFix Training Classes. Candidates should become familiar with BigFix Architecture and BigFix communications protocols, BigFix Console Operations, the BigFix Relevance Language, the BigFix Action Language, and BigFix Web Reports.
Proficiency Examination
The BigFix Proficiency Exam is a two-part exercise that probes the breadth and depth of a Certification Candidate’s knowledge of the BigFix Enterprise Suite. The written exam involves multiple choice, short answers, and essays about topics related to BigFix technologies, products and processes. In the second part of the exam, candidates log into a BigFix Console as a BigFix Administrator and complete a series of timed exercises that cover all aspects of user and computer management, Fixlet Message and task deployment, and custom content creation and use.
